Tired of Viruses and Trojans

Ok...just so you know, I'm about to launch a small tirade here...On Friday morning last week I was doing what I normally do before heading out to school. I was downloading some daily freebies from a scrapbooking site. These freebies were located on 4shared. While downloading, I noticed that my computer began to act really wonky. Now, I've gotten many viruses and trojans in the past few months and had to clean up the mess afterwards. So, I recognized the wonkiness that I was seeing and immediately stopped what I was doing and began to run antivirus programs. It immediately caught one virus and 3 trojans. I left this program running while off to work I went.

Well, wonder of all wonders, when I arrived home 6 hours later.....the antivirus programs were still running. Not sure what was going on here. Long story short.......After getting rid of an additional 10 trojans, there is either something still on my computer or something has corrupted Internet Explorer. However, I downloaded Firefox and realized that I can get on the internet with it. I'm wondering....why is this? I know I should be grateful that I can have a browser that doesn't send me to a website that I didn't ask for or pop up the page saying I'm infected and need to purchase this specific product. But, I would really like to know.....IS this BEAST still on my computer.......or is my Internet Explorer just corrupted? If you know the answer to this....please let me know!

Now since all this started and I was at 4shared....and I've heard others talking about their horrors there....I have decided that I will no longer use the 4shared site.

So, If you know how to set up a zen cart....please, I need help....I want to have one set up for my personal use to give away my freebies. This way, I don't have to send anyone to a site that may or may not give them a virus or trojan.

Look What My On-Call CT did with my latest kit!

I have three ladies that have signed on to be on my on-call list for a CT....and just look what they have done with my latest kit! These layouts wer done using my "You've Got Male" kit that just went in the store at Digital Scrap Garden last week.

The first two are by Kirsten aka ColaBears.

About Time....Right!

I know.....its about time that I take a few minutes and post something new on this blog. I could say that I just wanted my last post to stay prominent for a while to give it a really good chance to get me a long list of people who might want to be part of my on-call CT team....but is that the truth???? I'm not telling!

Anyway, some good news....or at least I think it is....I've had 3 ladies respond to my on-call list. They have their first kit to work with and it is a new one. One you have never before seen. Oh! You want to see the preview...you say! Well, I can probably find that preview lying around here somewhere and give you a little peak!

Oh....I did find that preview....here it is! This kit is called You've Got Male. A perfect kit for all those men and boys in your family....but, I think it would also do really well for some not real girlie layouts, too! Jump on over to Digital Scrap Garden and check out the kit!

I Feel a Change is Needed.

I love both of my CT members dearly and would never want to hurt them in any way. But, I do feel that I need to make a slight change for their benefit and mine. We all have our lives outside of scrapbooking and sometimes life throws us a curve ball. Like now, taun's step-mom is in the hospital and of course, this has taun distressed....especially since she is in Germany and her step-mom is in Mississippi. Then there is Angie...she is so sweet and helpful....thanks Angie for all you do. However, she is now designing and has to keep up with that as well as being on my CT.

I read a thread over at DST about several designers who use a method called on-call CT list. This is where they have a list of people that are willing to work on their kits and do layouts on a kit by kit basis. These on-call CT members receive an email from the designer about a new kit. Then the CT members decide IF it is a kit they can and want to work with. This allows...me the designer to have many more pages out in the scrapbooking communities.....and allows the on-call CT members to pick and choose the kits they work with when they have the time to do. A lot less pressure on the CT members and the designer.

Another NEW kit....and a FREEBIE

Oh Yes, Folks....so far I am keeping to 1 of my New Year's Resolutions and that is to create 1 new kit per week. This kit transpired because I am tired of all the drabness of winter that I see down here in Mississippi. So, I thought a little bright colors might cheer me up. My new kit is called Rainbow Flower Fling. This name came to be from some ideas thrown out by one of my CT members and my 6 year old grandson. This kit can only be found at Digital Scrap Garden.
