State Testing is DONE!!!!! YAY!!

OK folks....the state testing is finished!!! YAY!!! I couldn't be happier. This is such a stressful time of year for all teachers. We may know that we have taught our students what they need to pass the test....but, what I always worry about is that these students are soooooo tired by the time state testing comes around...they may not work as hard as they should taking the test.

I actually had some that I KNOW they just marked answers. But, there is nothing I can do about it.

I will try to get some of my layouts posted later that I've been completing for the past few weeks.

I Have Been Blogging For A Whole Year!

I ran a spyware program on my computer last night and this morning when logging onto my blog, I noticed the date I joined the blogging community. It is hard to believe that it has been a year already. So, in celebration I will be giving away a small RAK to one lucky person. All you have to do to be entered into this random drawing is leave a comment on this post. I will draw a name for the RAK on Sunday night, April 20.

Now, for the reason I was logging in to the blog int he first place. I have been working on some layouts for my CT spot with The Paper Tag. I thought I would get them posted here for all my friends to see. I used Rachel's Spring Grunge kit which is so adorable. Catching Up!

I am so sorry! I have totally ignored this blog this week. I will try to do better in the future.

I did find out that my DIL (she is in Germany) will be home very soon. Since my son has been deployed, she is coming home and bringing the boys for an extended visit! WooHoo!! I can't wait.

OK...earlier in the week, I told you that I had 3 more layouts that were in differing stages of completeness. Well, I finally got around to finishing them yesterday. So I will put them here for everyone to see. I hope you enjoy.

This first one is for my CT committment with Triplett Designs. I used her kit called Old Irish Charm. You can find this kit in the store at K-Joi. This layout is of my son that has been deployed to Iraq.

This last one is actually a remake of an earlier layout. I just wasn't really happy with the first version. There is a Digi Mentors group going on over at The Shaker Box, where I am on the digital CT. I put the layout up for critique...because I wasn't happy with it; but, couldn't see past it being mine. I got some really terrific and helpful comments from the other ladies and decided to do the remake. So, here is take 2.

I have kind of been busy this weekend. I have these layouts finished; and I have three more in almost finished condition but I didn't want to wait about posting these. I will post the others later.

Just a Couple Layouts done this week.

Morning everyone! Been trying to get my mind off the fact that my youngest son just deployed to Iraq.

Both of these layout were done using Heather Manning's Dirt Don't Hurt - Neutrals kit in the Purple Paper Flowers store. This is just one of the kits I'll be using this month as part of my guest CT spot at Purple Paper Flowers.

I am so excited. Recently I was asked to become part of the new digital CT over at Scrapadilly. I won't officially begin until May 1, but I've already received the fantastic kits by Rick Evans that I will be working with. I can't wait to get started working on my pages for the May 1 CT reveal.

The new digital CT members were also announced over at The Shaker Box this week. Guess who was one of the chosen new CT? You guessed it........ME!!!

I am so excited to have been chosen to be on the CT of these sites. I can't wait to start working with the teams.

I have 3 new layouts....but I'm going to save them for another day.
