Happy New Year..a New Kit..and a FREEBIE

First of all let me wish all of my friends a very Happy & prosperous New Year!

Now, I have finished a kit that I call Winter Mornings. It looks really frosty and chilly to me just like the mornings we have been seeing in Mississippi. So, I thought the name was appropriate. Just like all my other kits, this one can be found at Digital Scrap Garden and will soon be at K-Joi, too. Here is a preview of the new kit:

Playing around with my blog!

Just so you know...over the next few days, this blog may change it's look many times. I have learned how to make backgrounds for my little blog and really make it my own. So, don't be shocked if you come by and it has a whole new look.

Yesterday after visiting with my sister and eating her scrumptious food we played cards and just had some quality sister time...of course the husbands were there, too. It was a really good day. Then on the way back home we stopped at my odest son's house and visited for a few....even got to see my grandson, Alan. Man, he is really getting big!

Then we came home and of course I pretty much gravitated toward my computer....but noone was on any of the sites that I visit...afterall it was Christmas Day. So, I decided to do one of the challenges at Digital Scrap Garden (which is like my home. Everyone there is soooooo friendly and sweet. I just love it over there.

Anyway, I decided to do Cate's Garden Rainbow Color Challenge and this is what I came up with:

Merry Christmas....A New Kit...& a FREEBIE!!

First of all, allow me to wish everyone a Merry Christmas....or Happy Holidays...whichever you prefer! I am finally finished with shopping and wrapping....so the rest of my Christmas vacation can be spent doing something else.....scrapping or designing...probably!

I finished up a new kit this morning...It is called Wine and Roses. The kit will probably not be in my stores until after Christmas....I really don't want to ask anyone to work today! Here is the preview of my new kit:

Christmas Around the World Blog Train

I know...I know....I have been a bad blogger..but in my defense...I have been busy.

The Christmas Around the World Blog Train begins at 12:01am on December 12. This was a huge success last year and has even become a larger blog train with many more participants this year. Christmas Shopping Begins!!

I wanted to make this post last night....but alas, I ate way more turkey and dressing and side fixins' than I should have. So, I managed to doze off into oblivion in my recliner. No problem...I always wake up around 4:30 am...could get up then and post...oh no!! I slept until 7 this morning. Oh well....best laid plans go awry.

I know there are Black Friday sales going on everywhere...not just the ones in your town or neighboring towns...but on the internet as well. Man....what a day!

Well, I guess I started my Thanksgiving break off right. I have sat in front of this computer most of the day trying to learn this new program that I've gotten for designing. I will learn this program. But, for right now, I'm pretty much stumbling through it and im'ing Angie...asking....how do I do this. But, she has been so good to me and has helped me along.

I got involved with the Christmas Around the World collab kit...so I've been working on my part of this. We will go live with the blog train on December 12th...so be sure to visit once we go live so you can collect all the pieces to this huge mega collab kit. I have heard that there are over 100 designers that are involved in this mega kit. So, clean off your hard drive and come ready to download! You are going to love this kit!

New Kits going into the store & a Freebie!

First of all, allow me to say 'HELLO' to all that stop my by little spot in cyberspace. Just so you know....I really enjoy reading your comments. So please take a moment and leave one!

I have finished two new kits that will go into my stores...possibly today! Thanks giving is just right around the corner and then Christmas will be sneaking up on us. So, I decided to make a Christmas kit. I call it Country Christmas because it reminds of the kinds of things that were around my house at Christmas time as I was growing up.

This designer is very new to the designing scene...and just happens to be one of my Fantastic CT members.....help me in welcoming BabyDoll to the addiction of designing digi kits for scrappers.





I don't have a preview of this kit.....but these layouts only use a small taste of what can be found in this kit! It is one AWESOME kit! Thank you Angie for allowing me to be the first to play with it!!

What I am up to and a freebie in a round about way!

OK....as per usual....it has been several days since I posted. I've just got to tell you what I am up to. I am involved in three....yes three different kit collaborations. One at Digital Scrap Garden, one at K-Joi Studios, and the other is for the Christmas Around the World collaboration kit.

The color swatches for each one of these kits is so awesome. I totally loving working with each one of them. I can't wait to see the final outcomes for the entire kits.

I am also working on a new kit for my stores.....not sure of the name yet...as one of my CT members helped me by finding the color swatch for this one....I may let her pick the name. Wouldn't that be fun?

Because I have been working so hard on these kits....I don't have a freebie to post on my blog this morning.......however, as I said in my title of this post...I do have a freebie for you in a round-a-bout way. You see my CT member Angie has made another FABULOUS quick page for you and she has posted it on her blog with a link to download it. Just look at it....it is terrific!

Woo Hoo!! I have finished another kit. I seem to be on a pink/purple kick these days. This kit was inspired by my rather new granddaughter who was born August 15. Obviously, she didn't choose the color pallette.....I did. But, I think she would love it anyway....if she were old enough to tell us.

Friends, Awards, & a Freebie

It is really a wonderful feeling when you have friends and I've always known that I had my fair share of them. But, this past couple of weeks, I have found that I have even more than I even knew. It is such a good feeling. Thank you to all of my wonderful friends...whether you are someone that I can speak to on regular basis face to face or even touch....or one of my many, many cyber friends that I have have come to know over the past two years.

This past week, I managed to get some more trojans and viruses in my computer. This has really gotten me to the point that I am almost afraid to download anything. I am really getting a tad paranoid. But, anyway...because of this computer issue...I am waaaaaayyyyyy behind onposting many things to this blog.

First off, twice this past week I have been awarded the "ProximidadeAward" or "Friendship Around TheWorld Award". Originally this award was written in spanish, but it translates to highlight blogs that are pleasing or special in some way, and also to extend the hand of friendship around the world. I am to pass this on to 8 different people. Here it is:



It was awarded to me first by a very good friend, Vanessa, that I've been talking to over a K-Joi for the past 7-9 months. She is so sweet...just drop by her blog and check it out. Was This a Bad Thing to do? OH & a FREEBIE

I have been trying to find two more digi scrappers for my personal CT. Well....I visit a whoooollleee lot of scrapbooking sites on a pretty much daily basis. There are some sites that I may visit one time a month or even less frequently than that. I know that is not a good site member....but I do have a life outside this computer.

Now....a couple days ago, I was on one of the sites that I frequent very infrequently....sometimes when I drop in, I don't even post....I just look around and leave. Well...I dropped in and there was a poll posted about digi scrapping. Now I've been a member of this site almost since it began....so I know the majority of these ladies aren't really in digi scrapping. So, I look at the poll and there are like 8 who said they prefer traditional scrapping. Counting me on the poll there were 3 ladies that said they like digi scrapping.

So, after checking out the gallery and their creations, I pm these 2 ladies, introduce myself and ask if they would like to try out one of my kits. I told them to email me if they were interested. Both of them did email me.....after some discussion as to what I would want in a CT member...they both agreed to become part of my CT.....until today that is.

This afternoon, I checked my email and I had and email from each of these two ladies stating things had either changed for them or that they didn't want to endanger friendships they had built on the other site by being on my CT. I also had an email from the site owner blessing me out for recruiting her members away from her site.

First of all, I never ever asked these two ladies to leave the site in question. I did ask that they post layouts done with my kits at three different scrap sites...I listed two sites and the third was their choice. This is just routine CT requirements. I know this because I've been on a few CT's myself and still am.

One of the ladies even asked about posting the layouts on the site in question and I told her that was up to her, that I didn't mind at all. The only reason I didn't post layouts in the gallery is that I do mainly digi layouts myself and I know from being on the board as long as it has been in business that the ladies there don't really care for digi.

Anyway.....I emailed the site owner back and explained that I never tried to steal her members that I was looking for personal CT members for my designs only and not DT for another site. Well, needless to say.....she believes what she believes and that is all that can be said on that matter....because I would never repeat the response that I received back from her. I asked her to delete my account and was told that it had already been done. So, I am done with her and her site.

So, Now I ask you my readers....did I do anything wrong? I really didn't feel like I did...but I would like to know what you think.

My House is Waaaayyyyy too QUIET!!!!

Tanya & the kids have made it back to Germany. They were all worn out from so many hours of flight.....but got home safely!

The missing hasn't totally set in yet....I know this because I've been so busy lately.....But I can tell you one thing.........my house is waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too QUIET!! I am accustomed to having 2 boys running around playing & laughing.....now it is only me & my dear hubby.....who doesn't make very much noise at all. I may just have to purchase a noise machine.....I really do miss these guys.....all four of them!!!

Back to scrapping......I currently have 2 kits in the works that I should have completed by this weekend. I am also working on a freebie just for you!!! So be sure and check back this weekend!

Sad Day But a Happy Day too!!

I have been so busy lately with homecoming, science night and getting ready for the next 9 weeks of school that I have sorely neglected this blog.

Well, that is not the only reason....I guess I am already missing my daughter-in-law and 3 grandchildren and they haven't even left yet! However, they will be flying out on Monday....going back to Germany! I understand why they need to go....but I sure am going to miss them.

Computer Issues

I have been having some computer issues. First, I had this popup that just kept popping up and wouldn't allow me to do anything on the computer. Found out it was malware....some doofus thought that by infecting computers with this malware that he could induce you to purchase his software to clean up the mess he created in the first place.

Then, I get a call from my ISP and they tell me that there has been a problem with spam and that it has been traced back to me....me ....little ole me....I never bother anyone....I don't even forward the forwards that I get. How in the world could I be spamming anyone. Well....we suspected another worm/infection of some kind....so the ISP sent me a CD with some programs on it to download and run.

Good news........I think....i had 44 worms/trojans/infections, etc.....but they are all gone now!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!! Maybe I can play with scrapping buddies on Digital Scrap Garden now.....Cause goodness knows I've been having some serious withdrawals!
